Vintage Fabric
ABOUT US

Husband and wife team Ali and Roger Arnold, run their mail order business Vintage Fabric from their home in Gloucestershire.

Ali has collected fabric since the 60's for sewing projects, patchwork, quilting and just the love of it. Quite a stock had built up over the years and having decided to clear out the cupboards got hooked selling odd pieces on Ebay. Thats how it started, now the local post office  is kept busy dealing with orders all over the world.

Recycling is an important part of the business, turning beautiful old curtains into perfect pieces for re-use, by cleaning and trimming faded parts.

Searching for such curtains and other interesting fabric lengths has been a great excuse spending time together exploring small towns and villages in the area.

Customers include - television and theatre companies, museums, upholsterers, furniture restorers, quilters, dress makers as well as other fabric collectors.

Vintage fabric has often been used and loved before or stored for many years. It is laundered when necessary and always checked for damage, holes or fading, leaving the fabric clean and fresh and ready to use. If there are any faults it will say so in the description.
Most of the fabric sold can be found in the Ebay shop 'Vintage Fabric and Curtains'.
This website has a page of fabric bundles useful for patchwork & crafts, a 'fabric of the month' page
and a one dedicated to Sanderson & William Morris Fabric.
